Why We Use Water-based Ink

We are going to give you a quick look into why we know printing with these eco-friendly & non-chemical laden inks are the better choice.

Our promise to customers is that we will produce the best high quality products. The most important material to consider is first, the ink. Some might think it’s the shirt - which could agree on. But knowing what we do now, I can assure you it all starts with the ink. After making that important decision, we have since learned how water-based inks print differently on varying types of fabrics.

Essentially these types of inks dye the fabric itself, “becoming one with the shirt”, as we sometimes like to say! The ink will not crack and peel like plastisol ink, but instead it becomes part of the very fibers the shirt is made of.

Our apparel made with this ink will last the entire lifetime that the shirt does! After washing you will notice it will also leave your shirt feeling soft, as if there was nothing printed on it in the first place. The ink also allows the shirt to be breathable & durable, making it very comfortable to wear time and time again.

We aim to be a waste free and zero chemical print lab, and we can promise that you will receive a quality handprinted product every time!

A few more facts about water based inks:

Our Standard Water-Based Inks are free of environmentally damaging chemicals such as lead, PVC, heavy metals, Azo compounds,

Nonylphenol and Phthalates. They do not contain ozone depleting chemicals – CFCs, HCFCs, VOCs, or volatile solvents.

Water-based inks also allow the use of natural enzymes, including citrus and soy bases, for the cleaning of screens and equipment.

These inks have passed the most rigorous industry tests regarding health and environment with superlative results; Receiving both Nike’s extremely rigid RSL Certificate and the Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
